Football Recap: Isabella Roman and Juli Borges Lead the Defense for Seminole Win

Seminole got themselves on the board against Crooms Academy on Tuesday, but Crooms Academy never followed suit. They managed a 6-0 victory over the Crooms Academy Panthers. The Seminoles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Seminole's defense and their six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Isabella Roman and Juli Borges, who racked up five sacks between them.

Seminole now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Crooms Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seminole is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season: they will square off against Mainland at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Seminole's offense hasn't had much luck over their past three contests, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around. As for Crooms Academy, they will square off against Holy Cross Lutheran Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
