Softball Recap: Paradise Honors' Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Paradise Honors waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They put the hurt on the Thunderbird Titans with a sharp 14-1 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-3 last Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Pressley Fought, who scored four runs and stole three bases while going 4-for-4. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ashlyn Elliott, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

Paradise Honors was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .344 or higher in eight consecutive games.

Paradise Honors' victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.4 runs on average over those games. As for Thunderbird, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Paradise Honors will take on Estrella Foothills at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Thunderbird, they will square off against Greenway at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
