Softball Recap: Castlewood Continues Home Dominance on Monday

Castlewood entered their tilt with Redfield on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Pheasants get on the board and left with a 13-0 win. Considering the Warriors have won five matches by more than nine runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Castlewood's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Redfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Castlewood will face off against Colman-Egan at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The C-E Hawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.29 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Redfield, they will take on Florence/Henry at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Pheasants' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
