Basketball Recap: Blaine Takes a Loss

Blaine was the 47-43 winner over Ferndale when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Blaine Borderites were outmatched by the Ferndale Golden Eagles and fell 57-25. While losing is never fun, the Borderites can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 256th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 123rd).

This is the second loss in a row for Blaine and nudges their season record down to 4-11. As for Ferndale, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Blaine has already played their next game (against Mount Vernon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Ferndale has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Mt. Baker.
