Volleyball Recap: Farmersville Comes Up Short

Farmersville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lindsay Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 last Tuesday.

Farmersville actually scored more points across those three sets (54-49), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 9-25, 25-17, 15-12.

Farmersville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Lindsay, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Farmersville will square off against Roosevelt at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lindsay, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Wonderful College Prep Academy on the 23rd.
