Soccer Game Preview: Grissom vs. Hazel Green

The Grissom Tigers are taking a road trip to take on the Hazel Green Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Hazel Green better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Grissom's game on Thursday is any indication, that's when Grissom really gets things going. The Tigers never let Chelsea get on the board and left with a 4-0 win.

Meanwhile, Hazel Green came tearing into Friday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.8 goals), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Bucks as they made off with a 5-0 victory. Considering Hazel Green have won 14 contests by more than three goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Buckhorn from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal.

Hazel Green's win bumped their record up to 17-4-2. As for Grissom, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10-6.

Everything went Grissom's way against Hazel Green in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as Grissom made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
