Basketball Recap: Belmont Takes a Loss

If Belmont was riding high fresh off their 50-26 takedown of Raymond last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Belmont Red Raiders lost 56-34 to the Winnisquam Bears on Tuesday. The Red Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bears earlier this season, when they won 55-34.

Belmont now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Winnisquam, their victory bumped their record up to 4-12.

Coming up, Belmont will welcome Conant at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Belmont is facing Conant at the right time seeing as Conant is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Winnisquam, they will head out on the road to face off against Fall Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Fall Mountain's defense has only allowed 28.3 points per game this season, so Winnisquam's offense will have their work cut out for them.
