Recap: Reeltown Rebels vs. Holtville Bulldogs

There's no place like home for the Reeltown Rebels, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 56-47 victory over Holtville on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Reeltown also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Reeltown's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Finn Henderson, who scored 13 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Demetrius Brown, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Reeltown's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Holtville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Reeltown will take on Lanett at TBD on Monday. Reeltown knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Lanett likes a good challenge. As for Holtville, they and Elmore County will face off at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Holtville is facing Elmore County at the right time seeing as Elmore County is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
