Baseball Recap: Little Rock Southwest Takes a Loss

Little Rock Southwest lost against Cabot back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Gryphons came up short against the Panthers, falling 21-2.

Little Rock Southwest saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Davion King, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run. Cornell Manning also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Little Rock Southwest's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Cabot, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-7.

The future could be bright for both Little Rock Southwest and Cabot: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Gryphons will look to extend Forrest City's five-game losing streak when they meet at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Cabot will try to hand North Little Rock their fifth-straight loss when the two meet at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
