Softball Game Preview: Loogootee Lions vs. Eastern Greene Thunderbirds

The Loogootee Lions will challenge the Eastern Greene Thunderbirds at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Loogootee has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 31.

On Monday, Loogootee didn't have quite enough to beat Springs Valley and fell 5-3. That's two games in a row now that the Lions have lost by exactly two runs.

Breanna Courter was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two doubles, and one run. Those doubles were her first of the season.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Eastern Greene's offense. They came up short against North Daviess on Wednesday, falling 6-0. The Thunderbirds haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Loogootee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Eastern Greene, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
