Softball Game Preview: Solon Comets vs. Magnificat Blue Streaks

The Solon Comets will challenge the Magnificat Blue Streaks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Solon and four for Magnificat.

Solon came up short against Nordonia on Monday, falling 14-4. That's two games in a row now that the Comets have lost by exactly ten runs.

Mary Chesla was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI. Alyssa Gerome was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Magnificat lost 18-4 to St. Joseph Academy on Wednesday.

Ella Lopez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Cami Riordan, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Magnificat's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Solon, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
