Basketball Recap: Burlington City Has No Trouble Against Pennsauken Tech

While Burlington City didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They took down Pennsauken Tech 45-30 on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Blue Devils also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Loss or not, Pennsauken Tech got some senior leadership from Omari Spencer and Xavier Melendez. Spencer posted nine points and seven rebounds, while Melendez had 12 points. Melendez has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played.

Burlington City's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Pennsauken Tech, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burlington City will take on Willingboro at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pennsauken Tech, they are taking a road trip to take on STEMCivics at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Pennsauken Tech is facing STEMCivics at the right time seeing as STEMCivics is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
