Basketball Game Preview: Pacheco Panthers vs. Ceres Bulldogs

Pacheco hasn't had much luck against Ceres recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Pacheco Panthers will square off against the Ceres Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Pacheco is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They lost 72-51 to Johansen. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1046th, while the Vikings are ranked 362nd).

Meanwhile, Ceres ended up a good deal behind Lathrop on Friday and lost 60-43. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ceres' loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Pacheco, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Pacheco was dealt a bruising 61-31 loss at the hands of Ceres in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Pacheco was down 34-11.
