Softball Recap: Shiprock Takes a Loss

Shiprock came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Aztec Tigers, falling 20-2. The Chieftains were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Shiprock's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Aztec, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-10 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shiprock will face off against Bloomfield at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Chieftains are facing the Bobcats at the right time seeing as the Bobcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Aztec, they will challenge Miyamura at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
