Manatee won the last time they faced Braden River and things went their way on Thursday too. The Manatee Hurricanes claimed a resounding 53-17 win over the Braden River Pirates. The Hurricanes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 23 points or more this season.
Manatee was led to victory by Kayla Simon and Justine Wilson. Simon posted 18 points, while Wilson earned 16 points. That's the most points Simon has posted since back in December of 2024.
Despite the defeat, Braden River saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kelis McGrady put up seven points in addition to nine rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Alexa Helton, who had six points.

As for Braden River, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 30-27 win against Gulf Coast HEAT on the 24th.
