Basketball Recap: Mcclintock Skates Past Alhambra with Ease

McClintock entered their tilt with Alhambra on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They really took it to the Alhambra Lions for the full four quarters, racking up an 82-18 win. With the Chargers ahead 37-8 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

McClintock's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Anna Egorova led the charge by going 7 for 9 en route to 17 points and three steals. Lamaiya Woodberry was another key player, going 6 of 9 on her way to 16 points and three steals.

McClintock was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.

McClintock's record is now 13-6. As for Alhambra, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season.

McClintock will take on Carl Hayden Community at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. McClintock has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Alhambra, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Fairfax at 6:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Fairfax has three straight victories, Alhambra has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
