Baseball Game Preview: Union Grove Lions vs. Harleton Wildcats

Union Grove hasn't had much luck against Harleton recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Lions will head out on the road to take on the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Union Grove comes in on three and Harleton on six.

While Union Grove's win against Carlisle wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lions sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 victory over the Indians on Friday. Eight seems to be a good number for the Lions as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Harleton got the win against Ore City on Friday by a conclusive 14-3. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by six runs or more this season.

Union Grove picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 6-3. As for Harleton, their win bumped their record up to 16-4.

Union Grove suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Harleton when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
