Basketball Recap: Riverdale's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Riverdale won the last time they faced Southwestern and things went their way on Friday too. The Riverdale Chieftains managed a 60-55 victory over the Southwestern Wildcats. While the Chieftains didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

The win was the fourth in a row for Riverdale, bringing their record for this year to 9-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Southwestern, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverdale will head out to challenge River Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Southwestern, they will challenge Lancaster at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
