It was a good run, but Clatskanie unfortunately witnessed the end of their 14-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Marist Spartans.

Clatskanie's loss dropped their record down to 17-2. As for Marist, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 16-1.

Clatskanie and Marist should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Oregon Rankings. The Tigers (ranked 41st) will meet Knappa (ranked 233rd) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Marist will square off against Marshfield at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (5 vs. 30).
