Basketball Recap: Sentinel Comes Up Short

If Sentinel was riding high fresh off their 66-17 takedown of Capital last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sentinel Spartans took a 62-46 bruising from the Helena Bengals on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Bengals are ranked 18th).

Sentinel dropped their record down to 6-9 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Helena, their win bumped their record up to 10-4.

Coming up, Sentinel will face off against Hellgate at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Helena, they will square off against Flathead at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Helena is facing Flathead at the right time seeing as Flathead is stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
