Cromwell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Branford Thunderbirds. Surprisingly, this marked the Panthers' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

While Cromwell had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-23, 21-25, 25-19.

Cromwell's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for North Branford, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Cromwell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Coginchaug Regional on the 22nd. As for North Branford, they have also already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Morgan on the 22nd.
