After losing to Thatcher the last time they met, Empire decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Ravens came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 9-6 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Ravens.

The team relied heavily on James Van Huss, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Adam Armstrong, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Empire kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 10-2 when they post 11 or more hits.

Empire's record now sits at 16-9. As for Thatcher, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Looking ahead, Empire will be playing at home against Desert Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Ravens are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Thatcher, they will face off against Safford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
