Soccer Game Preview: Fredericksburg Academy vs. Foxcroft

The Fredericksburg Academy Falcons are taking a road trip to challenge Foxcroft at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Fredericksburg Academy challenged Highland on Thursday. The Falcons lost 5-2 to the Hawks. The loss was Fredericksburg Academy's first of the season.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Foxcroft made sure to put some goals up on the board against Randolph-Macon Academy on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Yellow Jackets an 8-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for Foxcroft in their matchups with Randolph-Macon Academy: they've now won seven in a row.

Foxcroft hit Randolph-Macon Academy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sara Warmack (3), Lily McCrehin (3), and Margaret Pitt (2).

Having lost for the first time this season, Fredericksburg Academy fell to 5-1. As for Foxcroft, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Fredericksburg Academy suffered a grim 5-1 defeat to Foxcroft when the teams last played back in April of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Falcons were down 4-0.
