Recap: Noxubee County Tigers vs. Neshoba Central Rockets
The Noxubee County Tigers lost against the Neshoba Central Rockets back in December of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Noxubee County had to suffer through a rough 81-21 loss at the hands of Neshoba Central. Noxubee County has not had much luck with Neshoba Central recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Neshoba Central found their leader in underclassman Kyli Truss, who scored 22 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Truss has scored at least 25% of Neshoba Central's points. Erica Lyons was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Noxubee County's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Neshoba Central, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
Noxubee County will head out on the road to face off against Louisville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Neshoba Central, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Newton County at 6:00 p.m. Newton County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while Neshoba Central is ranked sixth).
