Soccer Recap: Weslaco East Comes Up Short

Weslaco East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Donna Redskins. The Wildcats were probably out for revenge after losing 2-1 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Weslaco East's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Donna, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6.

Weslaco East will host Porter at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Porter will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Weslaco East surely won't give up without a fight. As for Donna, they will venture away from home to challenge Harlingen South at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
