Oxford Academy had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.7 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Edmeston Central Panthers, sneaking past 41-39. The 41-point effort marked the Blackhawks' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gavin Zinger, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Landon Wust, who earned ten points.

Oxford Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Edmeston Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-3.

Oxford Academy (ranked 328th) will meet Harpursville (ranked 726th) at 7:15 p.m. on February 11th. Meanwhile, Edmeston Central will challenge Cherry Valley-Springfield at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday up 410 places (279 vs. 689).
