Softball Recap: Hickory Flat Drops Highest Score of Season Against Ingomar

Hickory Flat scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against the Ingomar Falcons, falling 25-7. The defeat continues a trend for the Rebels in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost four in a row.

Brooklyn Wright and Stormie Westmoreland stepped up to the plate in a big way. Wright scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances, while Westmoreland scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Kyndale Holmes also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Hickory Flat's record is now 0-10. As for Ingomar, they moved to 1-4 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hickory Flat will challenge Potts Camp at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hickory Flat has given up an average of 17.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Ingomar, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Bruce at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
