Basketball Recap: Angleton Comes Up Short

Angleton has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They came up short against the Ball Tornadoes on Tuesday, falling 71-48. The Wildcats were probably out for revenge after losing 51-45 to them when the teams met back in January, then they'll just have to keep looking.

It was another big night for Kalyn Toussaint, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 13 assists for Ball. Those 13 assists gave Toussaint a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rai Lacy, who went 8 for 17 on her way to 21 points.

Angleton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Ball, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Angleton will host Santa Fe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ball, they will head out to challenge Iowa Colony at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Ball is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.9 points per game this season.
