Basketball Recap: Wellington-Napoleon Falls Despite Big Games from Raelee Rukavina and Cali Russell

Wellington-Napoleon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a hard 48-34 fall against the Cameron Dragons.

Wellington-Napoleon's loss came despite strong showings from Cali Russell and Raelee Rukavina. Russell posted 13 points along with six boards and four steals, while Rukavina earned six points and three steals. Those three steals gave Rukavina a new career-high.

Wellington-Napoleon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Cameron, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-15 record this season.

Wellington-Napoleon and Cameron could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. Wellington-Napoleon will face off against Concordia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 328 places (484 vs. 156). Similarly, Cameron (ranked 343rd) will meet Benton (ranked 35th) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
