After a string of four wins, Waynesfield-Goshen's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell to the New Knoxville Rangers 60-55. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 65-44 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

New Knoxville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Addi Albers out in front who went 7 for 15 en route to 20 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists. Those six assists gave Albers a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Webb, who posted 19 points.

Waynesfield-Goshen's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for New Knoxville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-16.

Waynesfield-Goshen will be playing at home against Calvary Christian at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for New Knoxville, they will venture away from home to face off against Minster at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. New Knoxville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
