Softball Recap: Friday's Win Is West Lutheran's Third in Last Four Outings

West Lutheran had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 15-run drubbing they dealt Legacy Christian Academy on Friday. The Warriors' pitchers stepped up to hand the Lions a 15-0 shutout. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by eight runs or more this season.

West Lutheran is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Legacy Christian Academy, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-11.

Coming up, West Lutheran will square off against Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they will face off against Marshall at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
