St. Joseph and Darien are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The Cadets will venture away from home to take on the Blue Wave at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Joseph will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, St. Joseph earned a 6-1 victory over Ridgefield.

HT Jones spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up six Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Josh Green, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of John Mercier, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Darien posted their closest win since May 15, 2025 on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past Stamford 5-4. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

St. Joseph's record now sits at 8-1. As for Darien, their record is now 4-5-1.

St. Joseph came up short against Darien when the teams last played back in April of 2025, falling 4-0. Can the Cadets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
