Softball Recap: Royal Starts off Right with Win over Agoura

Royal had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Agoura Chargers on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Highlanders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Julianna Galbraith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up ten Ks.

On the hitting side, Holly White was incredible, going 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. Marilyn Augusta was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one double.

Looking ahead, Royal will square off against El Camino Real at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Agoura, they will challenge El Segundo at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
