It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Alleman ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-10 win over the Quincy Blue Devils. The victory was some much needed relief for the Pioneers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Alleman's win bumped their record up to 9-17. As for Quincy, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-14.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Alleman will square off against rival Sterling at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Quincy is set to challenge their familiar foe East Moline United at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
