Basketball Recap: Jacob Layton Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Wyoming Homeschool

Wabash Valley HomeSchool lost to Wyoming HomeSchool back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Wabash Valley HomeSchool Warriors walked away with a 52-41 win over the Wyoming HomeSchool Warrior. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Wabash Valley HomeSchool's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jacob Layton led the charge by going 5 for 8 on his way to 15 points and three steals. Layton is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for four straight games. Gavin Sutton was another key player, going 9 of 12 en route to 18 points.

Wabash Valley HomeSchool is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Wyoming HomeSchool, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Wabash Valley HomeSchool has already played their next matchup, a 53-42 loss against Columbus HomeSchool on the 1st. As for Wyoming HomeSchool, they will face off against West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
