Baseball Recap: Loyola's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

Loyola's last matchup with Crespi could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Tuesday. Loyola came up short against Crespi, falling 9-0. Considering the last time the Cubs couldn't score was back in February, the team can't take the result too hard.

Loyola got a good showing from Robbie O'Rourke, who tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. O'Rourke has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Loyola saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luca Marucci, who went 1-for-2 with one double. Nate Avalos also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
