Padua Franciscan had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the Normandy Invaders as they made off with a 3-0 win. The contest was close at halftime, but Padua Franciscan turned on the heat in the second half with two goals.

Garrett Nowicki and Sawyer Bulat scored all three of Padua Franciscan's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Normandy now has a losing record of 0-1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Padua Franciscan will venture away from home to face off against Avon Lake at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Normandy, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on North Ridgeville at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
