Spring Valley is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Liberty, who was ranked 18th at the time (Spring Valley was ranked 23rd). Spring Valley received a blow on Thursday as they fell 43-28 to Liberty. The Grizzlies' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Democracy Prep Agassi Campus came tearing into Friday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 61-32 win over the Patriots. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-14.

Spring Valley's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Democracy Prep Agassi Campus, they pushed their record up to 16-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
