Baseball Recap: Clay County Wins Going Away Against Pickett County

Clay County barely beat Pickett County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs blew past the Bobcats 16-6 on Thursday. The Bulldogs not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 1st (when they won 13-2).

Clay County got a massive performance out of Kolton Brown, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Brown has become a key player for the Bulldogs: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 6-14 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Aiden Keen, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Clay County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .457. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Clay County's win bumped their record up to 9-14. As for Pickett County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-11.

As of now, neither Clay County nor the Bobcats have any future games scheduled.
