Volleyball Recap: Mead Finds Playoff Glory Versus Berthoud

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Mead walked away with it. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Berthoud Spartans on Friday. The Mavericks haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Alana Costello had an outrageously good game as she had 21 digs and three assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamdyn Morris, who had seven assists and four digs.

Mead's win bumped their record up to 18-9. As for Berthoud, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 25-3.

Mead has already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Lewis-Palmer on the 14th. Berthoud does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
