Basketball Recap: Union Star Takes a Loss

Union Star was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 70-20 to the Nodaway-Holt Trojans, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Union Star was not able to make up for their loss to Nodaway-Holt from their previous meeting back in December of 2023.

Union Star's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Nodaway-Holt, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Union Star wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 70-20 loss against Nodaway Valley co-op [West Nodaway/Nodaway-Holt] on the 17th. Nodaway-Holt will take on South Holt in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
