Baseball Game Preview: Zanesville Blue Devils vs. Heath Bulldogs

The Zanesville Blue Devils will face off against the Heath Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.

Zanesville came up short against Licking Valley last Friday, falling 9-1. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Zanesville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Solomon Norris, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one double. That double was Norris' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Heath entered their tilt with John Glenn on Saturday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They put the hurt on the Little Muskies with a sharp 12-2 victory.

Heath's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Zanesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.
