Football Recap: Hulett Devils vs. Meeteetse Longhorns
Hulett lost against Meeteetse back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hulett Devils took a 53-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Meeteetse Longhorns. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (36), the Devils still had to take the loss.
Jacob Moody was a one-man wrecking crew for Meeteetse as he rushed for 171 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.1 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Lewis Hesselbacher, who gained 95 total yards and a touchdown.
This is the second loss in a row for Hulett and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for Meeteetse, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hulett will challenge Burlington on Friday. Hulett knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 point or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Burlington likes a good challenge. As for Meeteetse, they will face off against Ten Sleep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
