Basketball Game Preview: Science and Tech Stingrays vs. Corpus Christi United Watchmen

After both having extra time off, the Science and Tech Stingrays and the Corpus Christi United Watchmen will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Science and Tech is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They enjoyed a cozy 74-59 win over Corpus Christi United two weeks ago. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Stingrays as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Loss or not, Corpus Christi United got some senior leadership from Josh Lindsey and Ben Lopez. Lindsey posted 26 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals, while Lopez dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards. That was a full 44.1% of Corpus Christi United's points, marking the 13th time in a row he's scored more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Emanuel Lopez, who had nine points.

Even though they lost, Corpus Christi United was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Science and Tech's win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Corpus Christi United, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.
