Basketball Recap: Fairfax Takes a Loss

Fairfax lost against Alexandria City back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Fairfax Lions took a 52-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Alexandria City Titans.

Victoria Patrick continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Alexandria City, putting up 28 points. With that strong performance, Patrick is now averaging an impressive 15.3 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabrielle Barnes-Thomas, who posted eight points.

Fairfax's defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Alexandria City, their win ended a 14-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-10.

Fairfax didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 50-42 victory against West Springfield on the 28th. Alexandria City has also already played their next contest, a 67-46 win against Friendship Collegiate Academy on the 25th.
