Volleyball Recap: Walker Valley Gets the Win

Walker Valley won the last time they faced East Ridge and things went their way on Saturday too. The Mustangs came out on top against the Pioneers by a score of 2-0.

Walker Valley found their leader in sophomore Lily Taylor, who had 12 aces and three digs. Those 12 aces set a new season-high mark for Taylor.

Walker Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 24 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in four consecutive matchups.

Walker Valley's victory bumped their record up to 9-15. As for East Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Walker Valley has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts on the 20th. As for East Ridge, they will square off against Grace Baptist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
