Basketball Game Preview: Perryville Mustangs vs. Hector Wildcats

The Perryville Mustangs are taking a road trip to square off against the Hector Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, everything went Perryville's way against Jessieville as Perryville made off with a 47-25 victory.

Hector hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 39-34 W against Mountainburg. The win was all the more spectacular given the Wildcats' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while the Dragons are ranked 100th).

Perryville is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-12 record this season. As for Hector, their record now sits at 7-14.

Everything came up roses for Perryville against Hector when the teams last played back in December of 2019, as the squad secured a 64-35 victory. In that contest, Perryville amassed a halftime lead of 49-11, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
