Basketball Recap: Penn Yan Academy Comes Up Short

Penn Yan Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 49-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Midlakes Screaming Eagles. The Mustangs were probably out for revenge after losing 57-41 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Penn Yan Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Midlakes, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-7.

Penn Yan Academy will take on Newark at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Newark has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Midlakes, they will challenge Wayland-Cohocton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
