Volleyball Game Preview: Palo Verde Titans vs. St. Augustine Catholic Wolves

The Palo Verde Titans will head out to take on the St. Augustine Catholic Wolves at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Thursday, Palo Verde came up short against Pusch Ridge Christian Academy and fell 3-1.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Pusch Ridge Christian Academy scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-19, 20-25, 25-19.

Meanwhile, St. Augustine Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Sahuaro, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-18, 25-7.

St. Augustine Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Palo Verde, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.

Palo Verde came out on top in a nail-biter against St. Augustine Catholic when the teams last played on April 9th, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
