D'Hanis and La Pryor are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Cowboys will square off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. La Pryor took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on D'Hanis, who comes in off a win.

D'Hanis is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took down Somerset Academy Collegiate 66-50 on Saturday. Considering the Cowboys' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Cannon Zachry produced another solid performance rushing for 247 yards and five TDs while picking up 10.7 yards per carry. Evan Craft was another key player, rushing for 40 yards and one touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: D'Hanis was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 387 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

D'Hanis didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ryan Zunker and Aiden Enriquez.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 62-28, which was the final score in La Pryor's tilt against Brackett on Friday. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

La Pryor's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for D'Hanis, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-3.

D'Hanis suffered a grim 21-0 defeat to La Pryor when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Cowboys, Camilo Portillo (who rushed for 169 yards and three scores while picking up 10.6 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
